September 2026 – Political Communication Disclosures
September 24, 2026, at Noon (12 p.m. to 1 p.m.)
Political communications are often required to include a “Paid for By” disclosure, and if you’re involved in making political communications in Oregon you need to know how disclosure requirements apply to you. During this learning opportunity, we will discuss the types of communications included, specific requirements, and exemptions based on who’s making the communication.
Disclosures required by ORS 260.266 help voters ‘follow the money’ by requiring that certain communications (which include more than just TV and radio ads) include identifying information. Some small campaigns may be exempt from disclosures entirely, while larger ones may be required to provide additional information like the names of top donors. We encourage candidates, fundraisers, treasurers, and anyone involved in campaigning to join us for this learning opportunity!
