Notary Training

  • If you already have an account in the Workday Learning system, you will not need a new account for Notary Training. Simply select one of the Training Options below, sign in to Workday, and enroll or register as required. (A "my workday jobs" account is different than Workday Learning.)
  • If you are new to the Workday Learning System, visit the Creating a Workday Learning Account web page.

If you experience technical difficulties with Workday Learning, contact the Notary Team at NotarySeminar.SOS@sos.oregon.gov. Please allow 24 hours for a response.

For first-time Oregon notary applicants and Oregon notaries who are applying for a new commission, whether or not their current commission has expired:

  • A mandatory "Basics" training course is required along with the application, exam and filing fee.
  • You can choose a training option from the resources listed below.

All notary trainings offered through the Secretary of State are free.

This is an informal opportunity for notaries to bring concerns, questions, and topics of interest to get answers and perspective from notary experts in the Secretary of State’s Corporation Division. Drop in anytime during the scheduled times. We will occasionally have invited experts to discuss issues and address your concerns.
