Oregon Trade and Service Mark Registration

Federal vs. State trademark registration

How or if you should register your trademark is up to you. Registering a state trademark creates rights only at the state level. Registering a federal trademark creates rights throughout the entire United States and its territories. For more information on trademark registration, visit the U.S. Patent and Trademark basics webpage.

Note: Businesses should check for conflicts with federally registered trade or service marks before registering a trade or service mark in Oregon. Visit the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office to search and/or register a federal trademark.
