January 2026 – Voters’ Pamphlet

January 16, 2026, at Noon (12 p.m. to 1 p.m.)

Register here!

The first day to file a voters’ pamphlet statement by fee is around the corner!
Did you know that if you pay for your statement now you can make changes all the way up until the deadline to file? This gives you flexibility to make changes as the landscape changes and while you seek endorsements. Speaking of endorsements, did you know endorsers are required to fill out a form giving you permission to use their name?
Whether you’re a first-time candidate or whether you’re looking for a refresher, the Elections Division invites you to join us for a comprehensive overview of the voters’ pamphlet filing process.

February 2026 – Navigating Campaign Finance Filings

February 25, 2026, at Noon (12 p.m. to 1 p.m.)

Register here!

The next election is already around the corner and deadlines creep up quickly while you’re busy campaigning. You are invited to join a training to discuss the process of navigating election filings. We will discuss what it takes to get on the ballot and how to navigate the ins-and-outs of campaign finance reporting.
This training is for anyone interested in running for office or being a part of a campaign, whether it’s your first time running or whether you’re looking for a refresher. We encourage candidates, fundraisers, treasurers, and anyone involved in campaigning to join.

March 2026 – Political Communication Disclosures

March 25, 2026, at Noon (12 p.m. to 1 p.m.)

Register here!

Political communications are often required to include a “Paid for By” disclosure, and if you’re involved in making political communications in Oregon you need to know how disclosure requirements apply to you. During this learning opportunity, we will discuss the types of communications included, specific requirements, and exemptions based on who’s making the communication.

Disclosures required by ORS 260.266 help voters ‘follow the money’ by requiring that certain communications (which include more than just TV and radio ads) include identifying information. Some small campaigns may be exempt from disclosures entirely, while larger ones may be required to provide additional information like the names of top donors. We encourage candidates, fundraisers, treasurers, and anyone involved in campaigning to join us for this learning opportunity!

April 2026 – Intermediate Campaign Finance Filings

April 15, 2026, at Noon (12 p.m. to 1 p.m.)

Register here!

You filed your campaign finance transactions, and you’ve received an Exam Letter from the Elections Division.

What do you do now? The Division invites you to join us for a more in-depth review of common filing activities such as amending transactions and responding to Exam Letters. We will also review a few examples of avoiding and resolving insufficiencies.

This learning opportunity is for filers who’ve already created their committee, started filing transactions and are already familiar with ORESTAR.
