Oregon Employment Department's new, modernized system, is coming in September 2022

"Frances," the Oregon Employment Department’s new, modernized system, is coming in September 2022.

Frances Online will support both Unemployment Insurance and Paid Leave Oregon, the new Paid Family and Medical Leave program. Beginning with the third quarter filing in 2022, Frances Online will replace the Oregon Payroll Reporting System (OPRS) and the Employer Account Access (EAA) portal. The system will start supporting the Statewide Transit Tax (STT) and Paid Leave Oregon contributions in the first quarter of 2023.

What you need to know:

We are turning off access to OPRS and EAA on August 28, 2022 at 11:59 P.M. to prepare for Frances Online to go live on September 6, 2022.

Beginning September 6, 2022, you will do everything in Frances Online that you’ve been doing in OPRS and EAA and more, including file and amend your payroll report(s) and finding you tax rate, and managing your account access. To learn more about Frances Online, visit our new Employer Resource pages at www.oregon.gov/employ/modernization.

*The new system is named in honor of Frances Perkins, the U.S. Secretary of Labor from 1933 – 1945 and the first woman to serve in a Presidential cabinet.
