Present Duties

The agency provides administrative and regulatory oversight to the Board of Psychology and the Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists. Agency functions include budgeting, record keeping, staffing, contracting, procedure and policymaking, and performance and standard setting for the regulated boards. The boards maintain their own separate authority for complaint investigations, regulatory enforcement, establishment and collection of fees, licensing criteria and practice standards.
