Present Duties
The Oregon Department of Agriculture (ODA) is a collaborative state agency that values and relies on partnerships with other state and federal agencies, Oregon State University's College of Agricultural Sciences, and the agricultural community.
ODA unifies 38 programs operationalized by a $165 million budget and nearly 500 staff across Oregon. It serves over 35,000 farms, 96% of which are family-owned, a farmgate value economy of more than $16 billion, and over 225 diverse commodities produced for local, regional, domestic, and international markets. The agency’s programs are designed to support and enhance the industry.
