(Oregon Scenic Images collection) The Board of Bar Examiners, established in 1913, acts for the Supreme Court in evaluating an applicant’s qualifications to practice law in Oregon. The board determines an applicant’s qualifications for admission to the Oregon State Bar by administering and grading the state bar examination twice a year, as well as the Supervised Practice Portfolio Examination. The board also investigates and evaluates the character and fitness of applicants.
