Duties and Responsibilities: The office is responsible for determining the resources necessary to support the existing and growing offender populations. The office develops and executes the department’s Long-Range Construction Plan to ensure appropriate institutions are in place to house offenders entering the system. Fiscal Services include contracts, purchasing, accounting and Central Trust.

Duties and Responsibilities: The office is responsible for furthering the department’s mission and goals through close collaboration with external and internal stakeholders, both inside and beyond the realm of public safety. This office ensures the department is a transparent governmental organization that members of the public can access at any time. The office includes internal and external communications, media relations, legislative and government relations and public record/information coordination.

Duties and Responsibilities: The Department of Corrections operates Community Corrections in Linn and Douglas Counties, working in partnership with local, county-operated community corrections agencies. Activities include supervision, community-based sanctions and services directed at offenders who have committed felony crimes and have been placed under supervision by the courts (probation), the Board of Parole and Post-Prison Supervision or the local supervisory authority.partnership with local, county-operated community corrections agencies. Duties and Responsibilities: The division is dedicated to applying effective corrections programming, services and support. The division values comprehensive, collaborative partnerships that support the success of individuals during incarceration and through their transition from prison to the community.
The division’s wide-ranging responsibilities include intake to prison, sentence computation and offender records, population management, correctional case management and inmate services. In addition, the division provides patient-centered health services covering medical, mental health, dental and pharmaceutical services.

Duties and Responsibilities: The office provides an oversight function on behalf of the director and deputy director of the Department of Corrections. The office was created in 1990 as recommended by an investigative report to the governor. The inspector general has broad responsibility for oversight of suspected, alleged or actual misconduct within the department, reporting to the director or deputy and to other officials as required by law.

Duties and Responsibilities: Oregon’s adult prisons are centrally administered by the assistant director of operations to ensure that Oregon’s 14 prisons are safe, civil and productive so that inmates can pursue the goals specified in their corrections plans. The division’s responsibilities encompass prison management, inmate transportation, security threat group (gang) management, emergency preparedness and most inmate work crew activities.
