Historically, Oregon’s economy was based on natural resources. Today, the economy is a mix of high-tech manufacturing and services in urban areas and the agricultural and forestry sectors in rural areas. Oregon’s economy is now in a state of change and uncertainty as Oregonians respond to the spread of the COVID-19 virus.​
