June 19, 1949 Dear Mr. Spitzbart I wish to thank you for the scholarship to 4-H summer school. There is[sic] so many things that I can’t list them all. I have learned a lot about judging, caring for livestock, and fitting your animals to show. We go swimming, play softball, vollyball[sic], and etc. We will have a swimming meet today with the other houses. I have learned how to swim thanks to you. I just wish that every boy and girl involved in 4-H club work could be awarded a scholarship to 4-H summer school here at the college campus at Corvalis[sic] Oregon. There happens to be about 1909 kids down here this year. Thanks to you Mr. Spitzbart, and everybody else connected with giving me that lovely scholarship. Sincerely yours, Glen Arnett
