Offices and Public Meeting Room

​Anyone using the Archives Building for any reason must sign in at the reception desk on arrival and sign out on departure. This is to enhance the security of the unique and valuable records stored in the building.

A suite of rooms used by the State Archivist and the manager of the Publications Unit are on the 2nd floor to the right of the lobby stairs. The suite includes an archives and records management technical library and a small conference room.

In the middle of the 2nd floor landing is a hallway leading to a suite of rooms used by the Public Employees Retirement System​ (PERS). 

Left of the 2nd floor landing is the entrance to a public meeting room with a capacity of 49 people. The room is available for use Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Food is prohibited in the room but drinks are allowed. Food is only allowed in the 1st floor exhibit area or waiting room. Reservations for the room are on a first come-first served basis and can be made by calling 503-373-0701. There is no charge for using the public meeting room. A projector screen and tripod are provided for use in the room.

The public meeting room tables and chairs can be configured to meet a variety of needs. Food is prohibited in the meeting room but beverages are allowed.
