Oregon Secretary of State

Government Relations

The Government Relations Team represents the Oregon Secretary of State’s Office in legislative, policy, intergovernmental, and tribal relations matters. Our work is grounded in the agency’s mission, vision, and values and supports the Secretary of State’s commitment to serving Oregonians in a transparent, accountable, and nonpartisan manner.

The team works across all divisions of the Secretary of State’s Office, including Elections, Audits, Archives, Corporation, and Administrative Services. We help coordinate the agency’s engagement with the Oregon Legislature, federal, state, local, and tribal governments, community partners, and other public stakeholders.

In accordance with ORS 182.164, the Government Relations Team supports the agency’s tribal relations responsibilities by helping identify agency programs, policies, and legislative issues that may affect tribes or tribal members. This includes coordination across agency divisions on matters related to elections, audits, archives, business registry services, public records, and other areas where the agency’s work may intersect with tribal interests.
